Services

The following is a list of items that we are unable to pick-up due to landfill or safety regulations.

  1. Construction material (such as dry wall, paneling, wood, shingles, etc.).
  2. Windows (any glass from windows or doors).
  3. Rocks, dirt, trees and tree stumps.
  4. Car parts (tires included).
  5. Anything in excess of 40 lbs.
  6. Hazardous material (paint cans can only be taken if the cans are empty, or the paint is completely dried-up. These cans need to be set out next to the garbage with the lids off so the driver can tell they are empty or dried-up).
  7. No items containing Freon (such as a refrigerator, air conditioner and dehumidifier). Anything with Freon in it must have the Freon removed by a certified technician and tagged with their license number on it. Once the Freon is removed you may call for a special pick and have the item picked up for an additional fee.

We do have phone numbers for two men that will handle these items for you at an extra charge. They will usually take everything except garbage. The names and numbers are Gene Martin 673-0492, or Kirk Passmore 628-1033. They do not work for us; however, they handle a lot of extra items for our customers.

If you are unsure of what to put out please don't hesitate to call us. We are here to help you and if you are having any problem with the service, please call us. We will try to work it out if at all possible. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Regular Service


The following is a list of services that we provide for our customers.

  1. Up to twelve bags of regular household trash per week. (30 gal size bag or can)
  2. Recycling picked up weekly (you must request this service). There is a one-time charge of $10.00 for a bin. Recycling is to be set out separate from garbage and easily seen and accessed by the driver. Please see the home page for a detailed explanation of our recycling program.
  3. Up to twelve bags of compost (grass clippings, leaves, twigs, and branches) may be set out each week in BROWN PAPER COMPOST BAGS or 30 gallon can marked "compost" with the lid off. Branches no bigger than 2" in diameter and no longer than 4 ft tied in small bundles. Each bundle counts as one bag of compost. The compost season is from April 1 to December 1.
  4. Large items, such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, carpeting, etc., can be picked up for an extra charge. Please call ahead for price and day of pick-up for these items. All extra items must be paid for at the time of pick-up.

Trash, compost, and recycling should be OUT AT THE ROAD BY 6:00 A.M. on your scheduled pick-up day to guarantee pick-up. We try to be prompt every week, but at times your pick-up could change and if your trash and recycling are not out, we cannot go back.

We are only closed six holidays a year: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. If your pick-up falls on or after any of these holidays then it will be one day late. We do not close on any other holidays and service will be as usual.
 
We gladly accept your check as payment. However, please be advised when paying by check you expressly authorize Smith's Disposal, if your check is dishonored for any reason, to electronically debit your account for the amount of the check plus a $25.00 processing fee. For your convienence, we also now accept Visa and Mastercard for payment.
 
We are a prepaid program and require the first 3 months payment prior to starting service. We do not give refunds; however, any credit can be transferred to another address, given to the new people moving in, or given to someone in our service area. If you move or no longer require our service, You Must Call to Cancel Your Service. If you fail to do so you will be held responsible for any unpaid balance.

Senior Service


We offer a discounted rate for our Senior Citizen customers age 65 years and older. A copy of proof of residency and age must be provided at time of service, or to get the discounted rate. Seniors are allowed the following services:
